Hi all!

I try to repair a friends PDS-1002 for him; he tried to replace the broken pots of the original (delay time and input volume) and now the pedal is behaving weird. I wanted to know if someone here had the same issues....

- I get a very low volumed bypass signal
- The output pot is reversed, so when I turn it down I turn the volume up(????) pot does swoosh
- The delay works just fine with this low volume (although the delay is also low on volume ;))

Power comes on perfectly; I can trace no loose wires.

My guess is that it is something around the input section (as both the bypass as the normal signal first go through a buffer sort of thingie). Tried replacing the IC's without succes.

Wow.... that was fast; I found it.

The grounded side of the input pot was also used to ground the non-inverting input of the output buffer, but the line was on the other side of the PCB going under the IC socket.................

hi, I made this little web page for digitech PDS-1000 and 1002. there are some pictures of the board and good setted trim and some informations, anyway it's here: http://www.sonicurbs.com/digitech1000/

hope it could be useful!

thanks for that link!  I recently picked a 1002 up, and I have access to the delay/sampler pedal which is way better.

Infact the early digitech double pedals I've tried are all pretty handy!
Try a little tenderness.
