this is confusing, maybe someone can help... i'm going to put a ruby in my guitar.  there are a bunch of things that i want to do.

1. have an internal speaker
2. switch between speaker and out (when ruby is on)
3. control whether or not ruby goes to the output (regular passive out)
4. have an additional jack for a loop (ruby > output/send > effects > loop return > speaker/phones)
5. headphone out
6. have one output jack that can be ruby out, loop send, and passive out.

i would be okay with about 3 DPDTs.  not more.  i also have these crazy jacks to utilize.  they are stereo, and they have an additional switch that DISconnects something when plugged.

what do you guys think would be the best and least confusing way to acheive all of this?  thanks!

i also have a couple of these:

("Stereo Enclosed Switched DPDT Socket")

and this for the headphones:

(" STEREO with 2 SPST N.C. switches")

i'm not positive on how to wire them exactly, but i'm sure that i could use them to switch when something's plugged in.  i'm trying to map it all out on paper right now.  it's very confusing.  the main part i'm having trouble with is the loop.  the rest isn't going too well either, though.

this will give an idea of what i want.  but it still has more jacks and switches than i want.

(see how confused i am?)

okay, i've got it down to this:

would this work alright?  i know there's a way to get rid of that bypass switch using the loop return jack...

welp.  i think that's best i can do, which is good enough for me.  thanks for the help?  anyway, if someone sees a problem or has a suggestion, i'd love to hear it.  anyway, thanks for looking at least!

Might mess things up if you're planning on using a stereo jack for power switching, but if you've got a stereo jack with an extra N.O. switch not connected to the TRS connections, you could try cutting down on the number of jacks in the guitar by using a stereo jack for the loop send/return - sleeve is ground, and then Tip is send and ring is return.   I had a cheap amp with an effects loop that worked like that.  Of course, you then need a y-cable or stereo breakout box to patch in the the FX.
