Simple LED related question

I'm little ashamed to ask this, but does it make difference if I wire current limiting resistor for LED on + side and - side. It stompbox I'm making it would be easier if I could tie it to negative lead.

It doesn't matter. As long as both components are connected in series and that the LED still has the (+) and (-) sides in the same direction as before, it's the same.

(+)----/\/\/\/---->|----(-)    is the same as     (+)---->|----/\/\/\/----(-)
