Hello,
I was thinking about idea to bypass tone control on guitar. The easy way would include switch or push-pull pot. But can it be done with some circuit (preferably passive) that would bypass it whenever tone pot is set to max?
Tnx

Fender has the Delta-tone system... basically its a pot that goes to "11". From 1-10, you get the usual tone range. Once it gets to 11, the pot clicks and it completely bypasses the tone control. You can do the same thing if you cut the track on the pot near the wiper.

Interesting idea.

What if one isn't confident about being able to get the pot back together in working order? Could the same effect be achieved with a switch that shunted the signal around the pot and cap?  ???

you could just use SPST to breac connection between tone cap and ground...but I wouldn't like to install any switches, cause I don't like them on guitar.
