I have one of these DC Jacks.

Im trying to put it in to a pedal that previously only ran off battery.

1. Does it go between the battery clip and the input jack or the battery clip and the circuit board?

2. To where do i connect the left and center pins (Im assuming the right pin is ground)?

Thanks alot.

Ive looked at those already but cant tell which connection is which as my jack is different.

Thanks anyway.

Ive done it, but...

When the DC Jack is mounted in the enclosure theres no signal, whereas when its free it works fine.

I guess this means its short circuiting through contact with the enclosure?  Will a bigger hole and rubber grommit solve this?

Thanks.

The cause/effect/cure sounds congruent with your *plan. However I don't know how well the hole size/jack size/rubber grommet will actually work, I've tried [with some success] insulating phono jacks, but then they were wobbly, ...and I feared eventual cutting through of the [I used urethane substrate material instead of grommet], insulating material.
Insulated DC jack would be first choice,   I've mounted boxes in wood, even a little wood piece could be used as an insulator for the jack's hole...mount the very hard wood piece with the DC jack sized hole in it...aligned with the larger hole...plastic, using a dremel or something to cut it without cracking it..
Insulating epoxy ? [I've not run insulative tests/don't know the conductivity  on epoxy types].
