Hi Apar.
Welcome  ;D

I have just dropped you a message with some links that you may find useful.

Have fun and let us know how you get on with your first build.

Welcome to the forum!

There is the Beavis Audio Tech pages.

Spend some time looking at the finished projects, for inspiration.

You can also follow the wiring in any GGG layout that features the 3PDT and LED.
Here's one...

And check out the Wiki link at top of page.

In situations like this, it might be best to also specify which country you are from. I have the perfect answer to your "Where do I get stuff from?" question but it is only appropriate in Australia. I have noticed that there are people from all over the globe here... the world doesn't stop at the coastline of the U.S.!!!

Cool that first link you posted was what I used to make my first pedal too. I thought it was pretty useful to get started with. I didn't know about the vero board layouts on this site till later so I worked out the layout for myself which was a good experience.

Are you building your pedal on a PCB, perf, or vero board? Because there's loads of all kinds of layouts in the layouts gallery too which are SERIOUSLY useful. :)

I'm really lucky to have an electronics components shop nearby in my city. If you're from the UK maplin do some handy things - 3PDTs, DPDT, and some funky enclosures too. www.maplin.co.uk i think.

yea i was thinkin of building on a perf board but i really have no idea what the difference of any of that stuff is,i just want the easiest and best sounding way to do this
im located in the US i was thinking of using mouser to get my parts

mouser is a good place, we also recommend getting parts from Steve at Small Bear Electronics, ( http://www.smallbearelec.com ) his store is geared directly toward DIY folks and he'll have everything you need to do the project well from front to back.

For a first build, Don't be as concerned with getting the ultimate tone as with building a working pedal! This will ensure that you get some confidence and develop the skills you need to feed your habit.

Whatever you build, you should pick a relatively simple, well-characterized design that includes enough "How-To" information to walk you through the process of building and troubleshooting. The beginner distortion on this site is one possibility, and the Tweak-O in Projects on my site is another.

If you really want to do a Fuzz Face for a first build, at a minimum get a ready-to-solder board from Tonepad or GeneralGuitarGadgets. Or I think buildyourownclone offers a full kit. The FF is a wonderful; pedal, but there are land-mines to getting and working with germanium transistors that you should investigate beforehand.

Mouser is an excellent source for parts; I order from them a lot. However, their catalog can be intimidating for a beginner. Please do visit my "Cave," and let me know if you need help with shopping.
