I Love this forum, I' ve been hanging around here for about 5 years or so, thing is that My eyesight is failing and I can't really see things like I used too but it doesn't stop Me looking and observing all the the wonderful things that come to fruition here. I just wish I was younger and able to solder effectively. I watch and read with great interest the advice and wisdom of people like RG  Mark Hammer Andy Carrol Torchy  and all the other Guy's  waaaaaay to many too mention that have gone before and given awesome advice to people like Me who are interested in fiddling around with effects of every nature. Although I still gig these days I'm restricted to using gear I can transport, Laney LC 50 McFuzz ( best fuzz I've ever used or heard too date) and I've tried just about everything, Ibanez DE-7 Guyatone micro chorus LPB-1 MXR comp and a hand made Rangemaster. I have to say that these suffice for My purpose but I'm eternally grateful for all the advice and tips that this wonderful forum offers. particularly for people starting out and wishing to build their own effects. I feel that Aron is due a massive applause for His input and general assistance in this regard.
Thanks Aron

Hi
Poor health sucks.
I don't know wether you can do much, but here's what I've done.  I wear glasses now, which means that one eye is good and the other is ok.  My hands were shakey, but I've dieted and exercised my way from 110kg/242lbs to 92kg/202lbs (and still going) and my hands are much stronger/less shakey.  A year ago I thought that I had maybe two more years at DIY stompboxes.  Now I think I'll be right for at least 10.
Best of luck with whatever challenges you have before you.
cheers

Brian, sorry to hear that your sight't not so good, but I have to thank you for helping
to get my Strat & Tele sounding FABULOUS !!
I'm lucky, the rest of my family ALL use glasses and that has not happened to me yet
I had a test a couple of years ago and all is A-OK.
Brett - nice work on the kilo's, I need to drop about 10 of them myself :D - TOO much time
spent working infront of a computer and sitting on my ASS !!

Let's all not forget, stompbox's are great ( as is aron too ) but dont forget that there's a lot of nice
countryside and fresh air outside too !

Be healthy ....
MM.

Thanks for the replies Guy's, I wear Varifocal glasses, even though I have a large magnifying lamp I still have problems with slightly blurred vision and I certainly don't have the steadiest of hands making it difficult to work with anything small or intricate particularly the copper stripboard thing. Up until I became 50 ten years ago I was ok and didn't require any eye aides but it sure creeps  up fast. Glad Your happy with the guitar mods Mart.
Cheers

If your from where I think you are from, Clayton Heights is nice this time of year if you want a change from DIY'ing!

I agree, this is a great place.  Some of the stupid stuff you see on other forums makes you wonder.  Aron is a Hero.

I'm 50 and have glasses now.  I get my son to help me with small part numbers.  Have you tried bread boards?  You just sort of plug things in and don't have to solder.  If you plug them in wrong, it's easy to change.  I haven't "built" a pedal in over a year, just keep 2 breadboards rotating on top the amp.  Dual op amp distoriton with mosfet clippers on one and Joe Davidson stages on the other.   :icon_cool:
