I have a vox v847 wah and it has true bypass.  I also have a FWR (output buffer) that I would like to make switchable so that I can turn the buffer on and off from the outside of the wah.  What kind of switch do I need SPDT or DPDT and how would I wire it up.  The Foxrox site has all the info for how to hook it up normally.  Thanks

TBOM has a really good question.

Why would you ever want to do that?

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.

Hmmm, let me throw a guess ...vintage -vs- modern:icon_wink:

You need a DPDT switch, wire it up just like another circuit (after the wah but before your true bypass switch).

Funny enough this question comes hardly a day after I was asked to modify a GCB-95 so the MPS-A13 input buffer was on the output, seemed to help in a multi-effect system, and where the user wanted the vintage wah sound of loading the guitar a bit, and didn't want the next effect loaded by the wah.
(sometimes that is a good thing)
