Hey there,

I'm gathering parts to build an AMZ Mosfet boost.  The schematic at http://www.muzique.com/schem/mosfet.htm indicated a 100uF electro cap between the source of the BS170 and the 5k gain pot.  The only 100uF I have on hand is rated at 10v.  I am assuming that since this is in the signal path that it sohuld be no problem, but I would like an expert opinion for this particular schematic, please.

Thanks guys, you rock!

yea it should be fine.  Dont know why it wouldnt be.

It'll work, but you do know that that's pushing it right?(hence the thread) Aluminum Electro's don't age well, so I feel better with at least 16v rated. If the circuit fails sometime in the future that would be the first part I'd suspect.
I am not responsible for your imagination.

I wouldn't lose any sleep over it!
It'll be fine with a 10V there and over time when it ages it'll probably sound "vintage"  ;D
