No pics yet because I'm still boxing it up. Here a soundclip I recorded while testing it out http://aronnelson.com/gallery/seljer/bluebox  <- 3.4MB (pardon the slight mistakes in the Joe Satriani thing at the start)

the thing is awesome :D If you leave out the octave it has a pretty decent fuzz sound, not too good on the low notes but pretty nice good everywhere else. But then when you mix in the octave...  :icon_twisted:
It does a great harmonized sound, really full on, and if make  it 100% octave then it turns into the synthesized bass sound out of 80s video games (I have an urge to try recording something like that ever since I turned the thing on)

it tracks really well if you roll down the tone control and play above the 7th fret, of course, if you have the tone up then you just get randomness out of the circuit with it jumping between octaves which is also pretty fun (and playing low power chord are also fun if you want completely random noise)

I just boxed my blue box up with a RM Axis Fuzz, great to throw the octave into the fuzz for some crazy solo sounds.  The Axis sounds great btw.
I also recommend the one octave down mod for more wild and crazy sounds.
Which transistors did you use? I used 5088s (got a bunch of them).

BC457 I believe, as I had a bunch of them  :D

I'm probably going to do put a small booster after it as other people have reccomended, to make sure theres no volume loss (it roughly even now but more couldn't hurt)

I'm still thinking about the one octave down thing, I think I've got some small slider switches somewhere...
