This I hope isn't a stupid question but here it goes.  I have a Brothers Intellifax 770 fax machine.  The ribben cartridges they use they call them toner replacements.  ( It looks like carbon paper on a roll.)  If I were to print a PCB layout to size on P'n'P sheet using this fax machine would I be able to iron it on to the copper board?

Fax machines like this usually use "Thermal" toner, which sounds like a laser jet to me but there's really only one way to be sure:  Try it out and see.

Thanks Barcode,  yes I'm attempting my first etched PCB although I lack a laser printer.  I just happened to run across an empty toner cartidge box for my fax machine and on it it says "Toner replacement cartridge" on it.  A light bulb went off and so I was wondering if this type of toner would work for press and peel transfer sheets.  Just a thought,  so maybe I'll just try it and see if this will work.
