MXR Distiortion II: silicon or germanium diodes?

Anyone knows if in the original MXR Distortion II the 4 diodes are silicon or germanium?

There is an old thread where I've found the link to the schematics

I've heard its output level is no so high, so I suppose the diodes are germanium...

My guess is silicon.  If the output is not that high, that may be more a function of the many opportunities for passive loss after the clipping stages, in addition to the absence of any gain-recovery after clipping.
