Hi,

I'm looking for the SCH-Z schematic and can't find it anywhere... does somebody of you would have a copy you could post ?

And... has anyone ever seen these?

I was just about to post a thread if anyone knew of a chorus pedal that could be modded to get some uni-vibe type phase out of it. Let me know if you come across anything.

Is it even possible to get an univibe sound out of a chorus pedal?? ... I mean... isn't a univibe more like a phaser but with different LFO or frequency?

The "Uni-vibe" thing here is a misnomer. I think it is fairly safe to assume that the individual in question (whose first language is not English) used "Uni-Vibe" to refer to vibrato, which any chorus CAN be made to do by simply cancelling the dry signal.

Since the usual solid-state switching arrangement in such pedals is to cancel the chorus effect by simply disconnecting the wet/delay signal with a single FET (distortion pedals use one to turn on and one to turn off), any attempt to produce vibrato by disconnecting the dry signal will result in no sound at all when the bypass switch is stepped on.  This is why the person has installed a 3PT bypass switch.  Using this to completely bypass the entire circuit means that you can disconnect whatever you want in the circuit itself and bypassing will *always* get you sound.

There IS a way to do this using the onboard flip-flop and a second FET and accompanying components, but many folks probably find it easier to just use a stompswitch.  Six of one, half dozen of the other.
