wah problem

I'm getting a weird noise from my wah. It's most noticible when I'm going into an overdriven amp. The wah is a BYOC wah. It has trim pots in place of the most commonly moded resistors. I have the gain set to ~47K, the mids to about 1.7K the bass at about 390R and the Q at 33K. Nothing I do seems to dial the odd noise out. The noise is kind of a cross between a clicking and a thumping. It is audible both when I'm playing and when I rock the wah while not playing. Here is a link to a soundclip:

i thought you changed the inductor and fixed it?

maybe its too close to the power supply?

i took my wah off my board, as the noise was unbearable, considering how much gain i use, and its completely silent now.

I did fix the microphonic inductor. I don't think that this is a problem with a microphonic component. Does it sound that way to you? I was running off a battery by itself. --M

Even if no one has a possible solution, I'd really like to hear an opinion as to whether or not the sound in the clip is a problem. Or am I just being too demanding of my pedal?

I'll record something tomorrow while the wife is at work. The problem is only clearly audible when the wah goes into an overdriven amp, so I have to turn her up!

I think I am experiencing a similar problem with a "drop-in" kit I installed in a crybaby
as I was rocking the pedal slowly I could hear a click sound I think it is coming from the pot
I read on the byoc forum that a couple people have had defective pots
I turned the pot by hand and could hear the same thing
I moved the travel a bit then moved the pedal quickly and it seemed to go away

new pot is all you need. where did you get the drop in from?

it too was a byoc drop in kit with a halo inductor and an Icar pot
