Hey guys,

I am building the General Guitar Gadgets IC Buffer into my true bypass strip project. I just wanted to check something.

If I dont want the battery clip in the circuit, where does the wire going from the negative side of the battery clip to the ring go?

Thanks guys,

Cat

I'm pretty sure it should be connected to the negative pole of the DC-jack, but I'm a little sleepy right now...

Presumably, you will only be powering the circuit if you are actually using it.  If that's the case, you wouldn't need this wire at all because there's no reason to switch the power on with the input jack.  Just follow BN's suggestion:  power jack + to board +, power jack ground to board ground.  You might want to consider soldering a 100 ohm resistor to the + lead and connecting the circuit + to the resistor.  Then bridge the incoming + and - wires with a 100uF  to 2000uF electrolytic capacitor.  Connect the capacitor's + lead to the board + connection.  This will filter the incoming power.
