A j201 works in the first trannie slot on my recent lavarim2 perf. I socketed the input cap so I could swap it out for fun. I replaced the cap with a jumper and adjusted the trim until I heard some sound. It dosen't sound great (yet) but I figured that I would mention it.
This circiut is VERY versatile and educational I recommend it as a newbie build for sure.
