PCB Transfer Design Question

Ok, what would be the advantages/disadvantages of making a pcb using the top transfer over the bottom transfer?
Ground issues with large ground plane?
Signal bleeding etc?
Will use more toner of course.
Will use less etchant.

the advantage would of course be that it would use less etchant. it might even look cooler? (:
there would be less resistance for the grounding hehe.. but that's SO SO unnoticeable that it would be stupid to factor that in.

disadvantages: more pnp has to stick, so there's more chance of stuffing it up. the pnp also has to go right to the edge which i don't like. some people would definitely argue that there would be a capacitance between your traces and ground which will leak some treble out of your signal, but i'm not entirely sure how true that is. it probably would make an audible difference? but you may as well go with what you know will theoretically be better.

i'd definitely go with the 2nd one (:

+1 on the bottom pattern.  Don't take chances with stray capacitance or copper being left behind where you didn't intend it to be.  I like the biggest moat of plastic around my connection points that I can get!

With new toner cardridges for my printer no longer being produced, I'll go with #2.

Top one looks like it may have ground loop problems.
(or should I say "invites" ground loop problems)

I kinda doubt it. Ever see some of the boards from mass-produced stompers??

That's what I thinking.
There seems to be an awful lot of pcb's in everything these days that are designed like the top one, as well as stompboxes.

Thats is easy enough to take care of with a DMM and Dremel if required.
