Sounds very little like my original V2 Bass Fuzz.  I used a 1N914 for the first diode and a  red LED for the reverse diode.  transistors are 2N 5089 and 2N5088.  I think I settled on a .022 uf cap for the input and a .001 uf for the output.

Sounds like a cranked seventies Marshall.  Thanks, Marcelo!
