Electrolytic Cap polarity

Hey guys.
I've done a lot of research on this, and just can't seem to find the answer for this specific capacitor. I've checked most the links in the DIY Faq and many others.

I have a capacitor I need to install but I can't tell the polarity. There is a minus sign along the side, but no markings indicating which lead the minus belongs to. I have posted a pic if you could help me out.

I am pretty sure it is on the right side of your photo. Usually the little "bump" is an indicator of the negative side as well as the stripe.

If it is an axial cap and it has a little waist and a rubber bung at one end then that is the positive end. Some people seem to be saying that the waist is at the negative end. If you have a cap that is like this I would like to see it because I don't think I have ever seen one in 30 years!

The left side is Negetive.
I guess the side that has that BUMP is usually the Negetive side.

Don't you mean the "bump" - or the waist, indent, etc. - is the positive side?

No, As far as I know those bump indicate negetive side.
Atleast thats what I have experienced in my previous projects.

Just to make sure, I am talking about the Bumps on the body, not that metal bump on the head.

The indentation/waist/bump is the positive side, as you can see in meandethal's pic of the two caps (black and blue ones)
Usually the arrow on an axial cap points toward the negative side, funny how the Xicon cap just has a stripe and no arrow!

In the photo with the two caps with the person's hand holding them the left side is positive.

oh sorry I mean the bump is Positiveeeee!
I dont know why did I posted saying its negetive twice. I must be drunk last night
