I think this pedal might offer more of what I was thinking. DSP pedals offer you a way to create a "curve" individually tailored to the way you play. I imagine a pedal that would go into "learn" mode. Now you play soft then hard - it listens and creates a curve based on your picking dynamics. Then you can fine tailor the results to match your playing. I think it would be cool to do this via DSP.
