So, everybody is looking for a way to use Windows based software on a Mac running 10.4 or later? right? Look no further.

I'm NOT running Virtual PC, nor Parallels Desktop (great for running a full MS Windows BTW). I'm using CrossOver for intel Macs

You can use this software tu run almost any Winsuck application within your intel mac, without needing the full operating system... without the Windows at all.

DIYLayout Creator is not fast by any means (it's not fast either under Win) but it works. I have yet to try using ExpressPCB, but there's no reason to think it wouldn't work.

Cool - I have to give that another try.  I was unable to get DIY Layout Creator to work under CrossOver on my MacBook previously.  I'll have to check it out again.

I've been using Osmond Quartz on the Macbook lately - the learning curve takes a bit.  (Although doing the walkthrough, no matter how tedious it seems, helps immensely, and making your own parts library makes life a lot easier than trying to decipher the free libraries)  But all said and done, it's a great program once you get going with it.  The free version is basically non-crippled for stompbox use - it limits exporting/printing files with more than 700 pins.  I can't imagine laying out anything like that just yet, myself.

Good show! I attempted to set this up in Wine under Linux awhile ago, but couldn't get it working. I didn't try very hard, though. This is encouraging news.
