Llama build volume pot question.

I used a B1M pot for the drive as per Mark M's layout which offers a smoother transition than the A1M show in other layouts. However, when using an A10K for the volume there's a sudden rush of volume from zero to 9 o'clock (unity is at about 9 o'clock). Would changing to a linear pot or a higher value audio pot smooth out the volume transistion? Thanks.
