L-Pad question

I'm thinking about building an L-Pad to use with my Valve Jr. My question is about watts. How many watts would the resistors need to be? As much as the amp? More than the amp? I barely have my head around ohms at this point... I don't need more confusion.

At least the amount of the amp, but that's assuming that the amp's wattage rating is spot on, etc.  In reality you should probably go quite a bit over the amp's rating.

So going with a larger wattage rating won't have any impact other than less chance of blowing something up?

Double the wattage of the amp for safety, so 10 watters should be fine.
