Hmmm, 4 hours of "layout" 2 hours of "wire up" and another 2 so far of
de-bugging/checking the circuit connections ..... !!!!

6X6 cm with 4X dual op-amps, 2X trannies and 73 components .....
I need a rest

I've found/repaired around 5 mis-wires and a couple of missing track
breaks, still "zero" output but no components have "burned up" yet !!

Guess I'll be looking at this for a while.......:D

Still, I always wanted an AC-2   ....

A question for the "clever people" here :
This schemo was for TL074 Quad setup  and I've gone for TL072's
It designates pin 3 for occasional 4.5 v use .... ?
I've never used that before, as its commonly the + input right ?
Whats going on, have I made a complete "hash"   ?
Here's the schematic :
scroll down to the "AC-2" new version, not the Boss original .....
http://pages.infinit.net/cbriere/_sgt/f10000.htm

MY connections for all op-amps :
Pin 8 all 9v
Pin 4 all grounded
1&2 plus 6&7 are feedback loops, mostly with a small cap/resistor across
and  pin 1 and 7 are outputs to the next section
Pin 3 & pin 5 via 4.5 v or a resistor to 4.5 v in one stage 3 in an input.
BTW I dont think there's a single "subbed" component on the build, all
as is on the schematic.

Thanks for any comments ...

Well, what a mess !!!  :D

I recently tried to fix a Boss PH-2, so I had my part of mess for a while !!!    (note : NEVER try to fix Boss stuff... to much effort for to little benefits...).

Could you maybe do a photograph of the rear face, to show the routing and the solders ?

Thanks !!
Its not as bad as it looks, all the "cross board" links are solid core wire and are shielded.
The rear of the vero makes no sense to post up, its just strips and around 200 connections !!!!
It doesn't make any sense to look at that, as my routing is impossible
to follow ....
I have followed the schemo to 99.5% .... I'm sure, just wondering about
those "pin 3" connections to 4.5v ... ?

Yes, and it is. Pin 3 on both the 072 and the 074 is a +ve input. I wasn't sure if you're perhaps mixed up about that, just clarifying.

All I could say is break out the multimeter and the audio probe (or an o'scope) and start at the start! Look for signals going into and coming out of op amp stages and those transistors.

The "de-bug" was not too tough, I probably spent two hours on it, but
coming back after a week or so was a good thing.
RG,Doug,BJT and Puretube pointed me in the right direction with a 4.5v
drain problem.

Sorted and a very worthwhile build for instant "accoustic" tones :D

Thanks to cbiere, for the hard work transforming it into a buildable circuit
I wont be posting a Vero-layout for this - as it was a bit of a nightmare !!
It will go in a 1590BB though :D
