How would you add a blend mix control to an effect, so you can blend the original signal with the effect signal..Is it something like this or am i way off?.....

The easiest way to do this is by adding a pot at the input.. Input to lug two, lug 3 to effect and lug 1 to output. Check Dragonflys layout for the Kay tremolo in the layout gallery, and you'll understand what I mean. 8)

Yeah, thats not too far off vikki, but definately not ideal. There are a few DIY FX circuits which blend inputs with effected inputs (called 'wet' and 'dry'). A bit more searching, (or a more helpfull post by someone other than me  :D) will get you there.
