POT selection?

Hi,

I have built a lofo-mofo as my first build, I love the sound, but the 500k lin pot stated for distortion doesnt to anything to the sound until the last 1/4 turn, int his situation what should I be looking to do.

If I want more adjustment to do I get a lower value pot or a higher one? What will going higher or lower achieve? Would getting a log pot help?

You will find if you are using a linear pot and it only has effect in the last 1/4 a log pot will make it worse by bunching up the adjustment in the last 1/16th or so..
A reverse log pot would be more suited to fix this sort of problem..

As a short term fix, wire the pot backwards (making it a reverse log pot, but moving the other way).
