Replacing a wah inductor

My friend wants me to solder this new red fasel into his wah wah; does it matter which way it's oriented?

  two conductor pins, sometimes four pins the two extra are for sturdiness I guess, you can measure the inductor resistance, but it's like tot, you can't put it in backwards, my 847 boards have many holes to accomodate different 'templates' [2 and 4 pin inductors].
