ah, the Spice - it's essence captured in a Hammond 1590-type enclosure, cultivated on Arrakis and hand blessed by members of the Bene Gesserit Sisterhood...there's true mojo; well actually there was until the enclosure was opened to take a picture of it

From close inspection, it would seem that the design is loosely based on the old Electro-Harmonix EH-2010 5X Junction Mixer, except scaled down a bit. So, there's some vintage mojo in there.

Ye of little faith. It uses special NOS wire with many strands and cotton insulation, to add a certain something to your sound. What that something is isn't very clear.
