I scored one ($50, that's not gonna happen again).  Its electronically simple (though it runs on +/- 15v) but is special mechanically, it has some custom lens assemblies and metal pieces for the optics.  I very much like the location of the footswitches, rather than the crybaby.  You could stick a 1590a box upside down at the heel of a crybaby and bolt it in from the inside and have a work alike.  Personally I didn't think the wah isn't anything special, its not very bassy and gets real shrill.  People that paid $400 for theirs will tell themselves it sounds "flanger-like".

I have the schematic, if you want it.  You could clone it by using a normal crybaby pot as a voltage divider, buffer that with a transistor, light up an LED, and shine that on photocells, rather than making a mechanical light shade.  Though getting the taper right would be problematic for sure.  I'd try one out first before going to the trouble.  Its mostly just a neat, quality housing, I think, that gives it its collectability.

They had one at Steve's music in Sac last I was there.
