I was rummaging thorugh old stuff to try and find broken electrical equipment, when I came across some broken remote control cars. When I opened them, there was lots of resistors. That was all I could identify. Here's a pic of some of the stuff (I have millions of each of these):

I think the black one on the far left is a transistor right? Any help on telling which type? The smallest component I think is a diode, not sure. The green one I have no idea, and the orange one is a capacitor right? The one that says "star" on it, I have no idea, and I don't think it can be used in pedals, I'm just curious.

Is there any thing usful out of these? I have lots of them that look the same (but only a few diodes) but have different codes on them.

Cheers

The green thing is a "greeny" mylar capacitor, the value is 0.033uF. The other capacitor is 180pF. These are both usable values.
The thing with star written on it is a crystal that is used in the radio control receiver to set the radio frequency it works on, there's not much you can do with it.
The 3 legged thing might be a transistor or it might be a voltage regulator.

Ok thanks man, and the smallest thing is a diode of some sort then?

Silicon diode. In4148.ya might be wanting a longer lead on the one end to be... useful.
