I'm building a ruby right now and I have a question.
I've searched and searched to find a mod that will automatically cut power to my speaker when I plug headphones in.
Would I use a closed circuit jack for headphones that interrupts your speaker ground when you plug headphones in?
Thanks guys.

Hi
there's a schematic around somewhere.  I saw it earlier today.  Basically, cut into the Ruby speaker live and, as you say, switch the ground connection to the speaker off.  The headphones can be driven as a speaker would, or with a little extra in-line resistance to ground (e.g. 100 to 470 ohms) to reduce the voltage and power at the headphones.
