My mxr+ is extremely treblyis  this ok? It seems to be working ok, no noise or lack of sustain.

Her is a very short sound clip I recorded

Thankssss

Hard to tell from the short clip, sounds like more than a DIST+'s distortion to me...more like a digital setting called 'under the steel plate' or something.
What do the voltages say. Dist+ doesn't/shouldn't cut a whole lot of bass, I found having an adjustable rolloff instead of a fixed cap across the diodes to be useful for adjusting the treble content.

So is this a MXR Distortion+ ?
Try adding some capacitance to the output. Was .001, try .002 or .004 or more.
As pete mentioned, you can add a tone control with a cap to ground and a 100K pot to have a variable low pass filter to shave off some high end.

the tone control should fix the problem
Thankssss a lot

Wow, that sounds really rough, man!  Nothing like a Dist+ should sound.  I'd follow the advice of the above, after first assuring yourself that it's assembled correctly (proper bias voltage and everything).

There is a .047uf cap that goes between the gain pot and ground. It rolls off bottom end as you turn up the gain.  Increase the value of this cap for more bottom end.
I am not responsible for your imagination.

Ditto.

That cap rolls off bottom starting around 720hz at max gain.  Use a .15 - .22uf cap instead and you'll get more meat to the sound at max gain.  Stick a 22-33pf cap in the feedback loop (in parallel with 1M resistor) of the op-amp to limit high end, and use a .0022 - .0033uf cap in parallel with the diodes to further tame fizz and piercingness.

here's how i built mine, guys:

Good sound/tone in it's simplisity

Although, i changed the output cap with a .0039uf.
