hi im thinking about modding a crybaby.
ive looked at what i think i will change and mod (i will add my mods later when ive done them if anyone is interested),
i have a secondhand/spare inductor how can i test that it is still working correctly?

secondly does anyone know how to dismantle a crybaby shell? i want to remove the rocker pedal from the base so that i can strip and repaint the shell, the fixing at the bar appears just to be a straight metal bar, is this correct could i just push the bar out the otherway with appropriate force?

thanks again

yup, just knock that sucker out, from left to right, toe forward.

well, do you have a meter that measures inductance?

crybaby inductors measure all over the map.

ive got some at 550, some at 700, and some right on at 500.

what kind of inductor is it?

changing the inductor wont do TOOO much to the tone, although with the right value, you will notice a difference.

the sweep, and Q mods are the ones to consider.
no longer the battle of midway...(i left that band)...

i hate signatures with gear lists/crap for sale....

i am a wah pervert...ask away...

if you increase the Mh, try decreasing the cap to ground at the inductor (usually 4.7uf) for a sweeter sweep.
my life is a tribute to the the great men and women who held this country together when the world was in trouble. my debt cannot be repaid, but i will do my best.

im actually thinking of simple changing a couple of the resistors maybe adding a rotary switch for the wah cap to change the values i just have a spare inductor i tried in a circuit ages ago and it didnt seem to work. possibly add a buffer

Is there a simple way to measure inductance w/o an inductance setting on a meter?
I like amps etc.
