photoshop scaling problem

i used to use this method all the time without a problem.  recently, it's been acting differently.  basically, i have open a picture of the PCB.  i go to image>image size.  i used to change the resolution, and the width and height above it would change as well.  that's not the case anymore.  therefor, it prints very large if i make the resolution more.  it used to print it smaller.  what do you think?

i have CS2 9.0.  thanks for any help you can offer.

is the "resample image" box checked?

yes, and it's set to "bicubic".


i unchecked it and now it works.  thanks!  i feel like an ass, but what is this place for if not to make you feel like that?
