I used to have a problem with a couple of wahs that i built. They were too "mellow and warm" for my tastes. After tons of modding and such i was still unhappy. Finally i decided to switch out the ICAR tapered pots for a dunlop hot potz II. It was PERFECT for the sound i was looking for...so a couple of questions....

1. what's the taper like on hot potz? and does anyone have a graph of it and for the icar taper? i'm curious as to what they look like.

2. what was that website that sold them really cheap, like for under 15 bucks. I bought mine in that price range ages ago but lost the site. I really don't want to pay the normal 20-25 plus shipping

thanks,
murad

I got a few some time back from Marc Alfs, a/k/a Skreddy, for a pretty good price, IIRC. Try him. Was (is?) a forum member.

I like the Hot Potz IIs, they work the best for me. I usually get mine off of ebay.

Hey you guys and gals,
Don't forget Steve Daniels at Smallbear Electronics in NYC. He has HOT POTZ and many other stompbox parts.
And don't forget Aron,s Store, right here on DIY stompboxes site - he has lots of goodies at very reasonable prices.

I live in New Zealand, (Noisy land - if you prefer) and I have  to say these two guys both provide EXEMPLARY service.
They ship real cheap, AND very promptly, and of course they are always "lurking" around here with many helpful comments.
Why would you go anywhere else for stompbox related parts????
Oh, and by the way, I am not employed by either of these gentlemen, - just think they should get some recognition for their great service to us all.
Thanks guys
Steve
