Hi all!

I'm looking for a pedal that can give me some high gain distortion. I would use it with an SG through a Marshall DSL.

I'd like something lige the Dr. Boogie "gainwise", but simpler; less controls. Is there anything like this?

Thanks.

you could try simplifying the tone controls on the Dr Boogey down to just gain+tone+volume

though for some other high gain pedals try the Smash Drive and Joe Davisson's Vulcan and Obsidian ( http://www.diystompboxes.com/analogalchemy/ )

The DB is fine without tone controls. You may want to add a high pass filter or a one knob tone control like the on the BSIAB2

I've got the Double D on the breadboard right now and I like the high gain channel a lot.
There's also the Thor. Check out the sound clips at ROG.

Would you consider these high gain?

It's time to buy a gun. That's what I've been thinking.
Maybe I can afford one, if I do a little less drinking. - Fred Eaglesmith

I don't know what the Dr Boogie sounds like but the 3 Legged Dog off of ROG that I built is pretty high gain..
