Here's some photo's of the Dano Fab echo mod that I did this afternoon.
It's a wee bit "fiddly" once you get to fitting it all back in, but was made easier by
having a full size PT2399 on the board.
I could wire my pot directly ( but quickly ! ) to pin 6 and used a large grounded leg
of a cap for the ground connection.
The piece of flexible aluminium that's inside is frankly plain "stupid" and is just asking to
short something out - I removed it !
I used a very small 100k pot, but even this couldn't be positioned to poke out at the back
so I had to fill that hole with a plastic grommet - looks fine.
There was enough room on top for the pot once I removed the two central caps and put them on
the other side of the board.
The delay time goes from zero to around 1.2 seconds, but up here there is too much noise, it's all
quiet up to about 600-700 msec - more than enough for normal use, I would say that a 50k pot
would be enough for this purpose.
Works great and sounds fantastic  :D

The pots came from a maplins grab bag - 15 or so for £5.99  !!
and they are mostly Alps - v good quality 100k dual pots, some have an on/off connection too :D

Gives you an echo time control rather than a fixed "slap back" echo
..... see this thread :D
