I'm looking for a "priced right" source in the USA for PCB mount potentiometers. I'm looking for the type that allows you to mount the back of the pot to the PCB and the legs go through the PCB...the legs need to have the right angle bend in them. Not sure what those are called. Anyone with a favored supplier?

i'm not sure what you mean, i've seen pots that attach by legs only, and hold the pcb in place to the enclosure, and i've also seen the "fulltone" style where the shaft is longer and goes through the pcb.

you could do what i do, which is bend the legs into a right angle and then solder extra long legs onto them. I save all my cuttoffs from resistors and capacitors to use as extra long legs. If your using enough pots there is actually enough mechanical strength to hold the PCB in place, especially if you are using the bottom of a DPDT switch to hold the PCB in place as Well.

I don't care much about music. What I like is sounds.

I think that's what you're looking for.

Perfect! THANKS! my intent is to mount the pots to the solder side of my PCB. This should hold the PCB suspended inside the enclosure nice and secure.
