I'm going to build an active xover system instead.
I'm going to build an Xover and compression horn cabinet, to have an 8 ohm 'woofer' output. [or run woofer full range].
This would be handy I think for using a 'borrowed' woofer cabinet, if one's available [often they are for me], instead of hauling one there.
I have two of these in horn lenses:

I want to run both on the same Xover, so that offers possible 16ohm and 4ohm wiring assignments.
They recommend 3khz as crossover point.
Greenback celestions [what I got] go up to 5k.
What would be a good order filter [12db per octave or 18db per octave?] and crossover point ?
I can call parts express again and have them figure the crossover component values again for me. [I have values for 3k, but I think that'll make a mid hump at about 4khz with full range greenbacks].
The Xover I'm using I think crosses over at too low a freq. probably 2k or so,

In my continuing process of encouraging active crossovers, go to  http://sound.westhost.com/project09.htm and track down the 3-way. Use the highpass and the lowpass part of the mid from the 3-way crossover. The values are already calculated for 3.1kHz.

Be sure and use the tightest-tolerance caps you can get; no worse than 5%, and 2% or 1% if you can get them.

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.

Daft,..I just re-read this sentence in conjunction with viewing the schematic...I need to do that again now...
Thank you for the help RG, you know I'll be letting you in on the progress !
