Passive Mixer to Mix Delay and Input Signals? Think about this one!

Ok guys this is going to sound kinda wierd but here goes...

I want to be able to control the volume of my DD20 loops and delay, however on the DD20 it is going to be nearly impossibly to access the volume pot to mod it with a volume pedal, so heres what im thinking..

Can i use a passive mixer...such as...

to somehow mix the two outputs A and B (Direct, Dry) and leave the Dry signal at full blast all the time (or not even use a pot) and then control the delay and loop volume coming out of output B (effect) with either a pot or expression pedal.

Sometimes I have these moments of inspiration and then realise that im missing something ridiculously obvious so...maybe ya'll can run it through your heads to see if it'll work! Maybe i'll need a powered mixer? Keep in mind the DD20 has the option to increase the output by 4db if that would help any. Thanks guys!

if you want the dry and delay signal to blend over each other out to one output, just use the passive mixer above, maybe add a spdt/dpdt foot switch so you can cut the delay signal, or better yet, use one of those SPST foot switches from small bear

thats a good idea too. do you think i'll suffer any volume drop without it being active?

Yes.

Thats not a big deal if you don't mind either turning up before it, or turning up your amp.

You could even skip the pots and box and just use 2 47K resistors inside the plug on a Y cable, where the two sources meet)  to make a summing stage, and put a volume pedal between the DD20 and the Y cable.
