I'm sure you know about the new coolaudio chips. I've bought some, and I dont really have any experience with BBDs
just buying them to learn and experiment with.

I've tried doing a search with the Keyword "BBD" and it only returns 6 results...
So I didnt bother with words like "Chain" or "Delay" LoL

200ms of delay is seriously too little. I was hoping to at least chain 2 to get 400ms.
Can anyone help out a little? Even if its just a link to some article so I can get more insights.

I really hope I can get 800ms out of an analog delay though.

Refer to the Scott Schwartz AD80 to see how it's done.
More stuff, less fear, less  hassle and less censoring? How 'bout it??. To discuss what YOU want to discuss instead of what others decide for you. It's possible...

But not at diystompboxes.com...... regrettably

or the AD3208 at GGG

there's also an interesting post from Mark in this thread: http://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/index.php?topic=55837.0

May I also ask why the need / function of a compander in a delay unit?

I guess, having a narrow dynamic range is part of the flaws relating to BBD's ?

So far the only delays thats you guys pointed me to that Chains BBD is the AD3208.
I sorta understand how to chain then now.

Let me say it in brief layman's terms. Please correct me if Im wrong, I still struggling actually.

The 3101 driver has 2 clock drivers that drives both BBD's
and then the way to chain them is to connect the out of the first BBD to the in of the next ?
(minus all the intricacies of the filters and stuffs)

Oh this is beginnin to sound like a project thats too deep for me to embark on...
Hopefully My Hero, Mr RG could write a short "Technology of analog delays" soon.
