how to know the capacitance of a cap?

hi,

is there a way to know the exact capacitance (value) of a cap that the writing has been erase....
can i use let's say a meter or something that will give me the exact uf/nf/pf value of the cap?

  For those interested in a talk box, that's a great deal, if it's good enough for making an active Xover.
  I looked for cap meters and found ones starting at 2g and working up to 8g+, that's when I started looking at the wheatstone bridge.
