Perhaps a link to a schem? :)

This pedal is currently running on an unregulated 12v power supply adaptor. The problem is that after some time, like 30 or 45 minutes, the volume drops. I'm suspecting that it could be the power supply, and I want to check if this problem can be solved by using 12VAC @ 500ma . The original adaptor was lost so there's no hope of getting that and cloning it.

thanks!

I can't think of a reason why using an underpowered AC output transformer would cause a volume drop after 30 or 45 minutes.

But, here's a thought: if you can (carefully) attach a couple of wires to the AC power input to the Zoom & run them off to a multimeter set to read AC volts, then you can see (after 30 to 45 minutes!) whether the transformer output is sagging due to excess current draw or some other reason.

There is  no readily available "regulated AC supply". True, back in The Day, there were specially designed transformers to give a regulated (over a certain range of input) output for valve heaters. But they are no more.
