i made a vero layout of my beloved 60's JEN Cry Baby wah... actually it's the same values as the Vox McCoy wah (except for the transistors) but with a red Fasel inductor...

one is a 2N5232 (wich i guess could be easily replaced since the data sheet is online)
http://www.datasheetcatalog.com/datasheets_pdf/2/N/5/2/2N5232.shtml

the other one is mysterious... i didn't find anything about it...
there's something that looks like a S IP (or S LP)5172  (the 172 numbers are slightly bolder than the rest)

and that transistor's middle lug is sheeted and bent over the side lug but i made my layout like if it was the collector...

the 4uF cap is NP but as stated by Ulysses a polarized 4.7uF would do... i think  :icon_neutral: lol

the fasel inductor connects to B9 and G9 (is there a polarity to inductors?)

AFAIK - inductors are not polar devices.
Layout looks cool! I don't use this kind of layouts since I learned how to etch my own boards, but looks cool!

thanks!  i do like vero for one shot deals... (i wouldn't go through the trouble of etching a PCB just to try one effect)

any info on the mysterious transistor? (SLP 5172 ?)

I'm pretty sure its this: http://www.fairchildsemi.com/ds/2N/2N5172.pdf
Prefixes change depending on the manufacturer. Usually if you search with a standard 2N prefix, a datasheet pops up.

thanks, it looks like it's the right part...  :D

edit: i just noted R3 is missing from the list.... it's 33k  :icon_redface:
