Hi All;

I recently built the Clone Theory from Topo.....have to say that I really like it - it's quieter than the Small Clone I built a while back and has a broader range of sounds available - I particulary like the Vibraflange setting - had a quick corespondence with Nelson about the feedback mod - in the end I replaced the first 68K resistor in there with a 30K in series with a 100K pot and didn't touch the second 68K resistor - that takes it to just before feedback - didn't change the switching or anything else - just wanted to share that - works well.  Added the stereo mod and made it switchable, but I get a substantial volume loss, so I don't think that I'll really end up using it - or maybe I didn't wire it correctly - regardless, this is a pretty cool build....

I got all my parts in from Mouser, this is my next build. I too will leave off the stereo mod (one amp is way too heavy for me let alone two!). Did you do the delay mods? If so what exactly do they do?

Hi Vanessa;

Was just playing with this tonight - (build 'em / ignore 'em for a while....) - the mod seems to kind of like a frozen chorus - sort of like on an Electric Mistress - at least that's how it sounds to me - the delay pot makes a bit of a difference - not too much trouble to add - I'd probably tack it on, after all, the measure of a pedal is in the number of knobs and switches - still like this one after a couple of weeks - a keeper....
