amz mosfet boost question

i just built thisbooster, excellent just like everyone says! only problem is, i'm getting no volume change until about 3 or 4 o'clock on the output volume pot. my question was do you guys think a higher value pot (say a 00k or a 1m) would give me a bit more control and sweep?

its the taper. you need a reverse audio taper 5k for that one. Small Bear has it.

Yeah, the C5k log pot is the key!  Or if you want to reverse lugs 1 & 3 if you dont mind going "backwards" for more boost.

The reverse taper pot is extremely helpful for this or, you could mod the circuit like this one;

Still a clean boost but, it makes the Mosfet boost behave kinda SHO-ish.
