Follow me:

I have two inputs, and one output
This is a 2-input mixer, both inputs with a buffer - but this doesn't matter.

Here's the deal. Both 'channels' have a pot, determining each channel's volume.

In channel A I plug a wet signal. In channel B, I plug a dry signal. In order to substitute the 2 pots, can I use a stereo pot?

MartyMart

Yes .... BUT they will only ever be "equal" amounts of wet/dry !
What if you want 20% wet and 40% dry??
... two pots is better then .

Yes, I'm aware of that.  :D

My main concern was if I could do that replacement.

I made this tonight. I based myself in the supermix, in this thread:

Can you spot any mistakes?

here's a pan pot diagram:

I think this this would work if you reversed the inputs and outputs.  somebody correct me if i'm wrong.

DWBH

So much work for nothing..... >:(

it would work with just the pot like that, but trust me from experience that an actual blender circuit like the one you made is the way to go. the other way loads a little and doesn't sound as smooth to me.

DWBH

Oh, btw, the 2 pots should be only one stereo pot. Are they wired up correctly?
I was thinking of 50k-B, but perhaps a 100k-B will give more control, no?

Barcode80

i think all the blender circuits i've seen generally use a 50k, so i stick with it for that reason, but 100k i can't imagine would hurt.
