Really Really Really Dumb Wah Question

Hi there !

I have had a good look at all the WAH Schematics that I can find both in the forum and around the various web sites and with the exception of ONE which used a 50K pot they all call for a 100K pot. So why are there so many other WAH pot values available ? They seem to go from 20K to 470K .

I know that there must be diffrent flavours of circuits out there but all the DIY I have found ask for a 100K.

it depends on the circuit, and the enclosure's construction. the boomerang had 20k (25k?) but it had the biggest sweep id ever heard in a wah...it didnt sound right with a 100k, i think. the dunlop hendrix wah had 470k to compensate for deep sweep cap, im pretty sure. its all just a piece to the puzzle, i suppose. theres a wah cpmarison chart around, search for it.

I remember that post but I have been unable to find it - even tried a really vague search with just "wah" but no joy !
