Hi there,

someone brought me a dan-echo to fix.The problem is that when you turn the repeats pot from full ccw position to another you hear a continuous and non stopping feedback. As you turn it to fully cw position the feedback changes and you hear more and more and more. The pot seems to be ok and even if you turn from 0 to 1 the problem starts. Also the delayed notes come out distorted and there is hiss.I changed a few caps but the problem is still there.I locate the problem between the jrc4558 and the lm311n.What do you think? The sound from the first stage of the 4558 is a little distorted and the sound from the 311 has hiss and some distortion. The echo is based on a PT2395.

Any help?

Seems that no one has ever had such a problem.I replaced a few more caps, some resistors the 4558 and 311 and the problem is still there.Weird!!The clena note is clean and the delayed is distorted and i get infinity feedback in every position of the pot.I can't trace the problem. Can anyone help me or suggest anything?

Thanx in advance.
