Hi!

I'd like to build the FET preamp that that Howard Dumb Bell used in his famous amps.
I can't find a supplier in Europe. Mouser carries them, but shipping to Europe is too expensive.
Are there any equivalents?

I know NTE458's as Jfets from NTE.
Highest gain Jfet's I know of, 'hard' sounding though IMO.
452...I dunno what it says about that on a data sheet.
  If it's a Jfet preamp, I'd use 2n5457, J201, maybe MPF102 [lower gain].
Small signal Jfets...pretty much all good..watch the pinouts, may require biasing.
